Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
Plan, schedule, and prioritize work orders to meet production deadlines and customer requirements.
Manage and maintain workshop equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Monitor and control inventory levels of materials and supplies.
Manage and optimize workshop layout for efficient workflow.
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of workshop technicians and staff.
Provide technical guidance and support to workshop staff.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Train and develop workshop staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Possess a strong understanding of hydraulics and tool making principles and practices.
Demonstrate knowledge of electrical systems and components.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hydraulic systems and tool manufacturing.
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Ensure quality control of all workshop output.
Maintain accurate records of workshop activities and production data.
Prepare and submit reports on workshop performance and productivity.
Manage workshop budgets and control expenses.
Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth coordination and communication.
Strong technical knowledge of hydraulics and tool making processes.
Basic to intermediate electrical knowledge is advantageous.
Excellent leadership and management skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license.
Relevant trade qualification.
