About the position

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Supervisor: Workshop to coordinate daily workshop activities, with a key focus on inventory management and stock control. This role is critical in ensuring a clean, efficient, and productive workshop environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work in a team, and experience in a technical/mechanical setting.

Ensuring that the team of highly skilled Technicians have the required support to ensure their workshop activities happen seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment in compliance with company policies.
• Manage and maintain stock levels, including critical spares.
• Inspect and assess materials for repair, return, or disposal.
• Prepare and present reports on workshop activities, expenditures, and inventory levels.
• Conduct quarterly inventory audits and reconcile results with system records.
• Perform supplier audits based on quality, price, and relevance.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Matric (NQF 4) required; a relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous.
• Valid driver's license.
• 3-5 years of experience in inventory control or business administration in a technical / mechanical environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Technical knowledge of machinery and production processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in digital tools and inventory management systems.
