About the position
A leading engineering solutions provider, specialising in the design, manufacture, supply, and servicing of high-performance hydraulic mining systems seeks an experienced Workshop Manager to lead the Potchefstroom workshop. This is a hands-on leadership role for a technical expert passionate about equipment quality, safety, and team development.
Requirements:
- Matric Certificate (NQF Level 4)
- Trade Certification (Fitter, Millwright, or Diesel Mechanic)
- 8+ years in manufacturing/workshop environments
- Mining industry experience (strongly preferred)
- Proven team leadership experience
- Clear criminal record
- Medically fit for workshop duties
Responsibilities:
- Oversee assembly, maintenance, and refurbishment of hydraulic mining equipment
- Implement quality control protocols for all workshop outputs
- Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies and safety standards
- Compile and analyse equipment performance data
- Manage workshop assets and inventory
- Provide continuous technical training to workshop staff
- Foster a culture of safety and excellence
