Workshop Foreman - Trailer Repair

- R30,000 to R40,000 CTC

A leading logistics group is looking for a skilled, hands-on Workshop Foreman to run trailer repairs and maintenance for its fleet of tautliner and tipper trailers.
This is not a truck repair role. All trucks are under full maintenance contracts but you will use your diesel mechanic knowledge to accurately report faults when needed. Your focus is trailers only supervising repairs, managing the workshop, and ensuring uptime.
Duties:
- Lead daily operations in the trailer workshop and wash bay
- Oversee trailer repairs (tautliners and tippers), ensuring all work is up to standard
- Allocate tasks, manage schedules, and supervise workshop and wash bay staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised environment
- Accurately report truck faults using diesel mechanical understanding
- Keep job cards and repair records up to date
- Enforce safety compliance across all activities
Requirements:
- Diesel Mechanic qualification (Red Seal or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years' experience working on tautliner and tipper trailers
- Prior team supervision or workshop leadership experience
- Medically fit and compliant for mining standards
- Willing to work weekdays (07:0017:00) and some weekends
