The Wireless Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining wireless network infrastructure. This role ensures optimal performance, security, and reliability of all wireless network components.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy wireless network infrastructure including access points, controllers, and related hardware.
- Configure and manage wireless network devices to ensure stable and secure connectivity.
- Implement and manage security measures to protect wireless networks from threats.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Monitor wireless network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct regular network performance tests and inspections.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for wireless network issues.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex problems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of wireless network configurations and layouts.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in wireless network engineering.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA Wireless, or similar.
