About the position
Job Title: Winder Technician
Location: Northern Cape
Hire Resolve's Client are seeking a skilled and experienced Winder Technician Fitter to join their mining operation in the Northern Cape. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, experience in the mining industry, and a proven track record of effectively maintaining and repairing winding equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair winding equipment such as winders, hoists, and other mechanical components
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become problems
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues
- Collaborate with other team members to complete maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively
Requirements:
- Relevant trade qualification as a Fitter or similar
- Grade 12 or N3 Certificate
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the mining industry
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices within the mining industry
