About the position
Our client in the power generation industry is currently looking for a Wind Resource Engineer (Wind Resource and Technology Engineer) for a tender to be based in Sunningdale, Johannesburg under a 2 year contract. This role will require travel to sites in execution of the function.

Requirements:
- Relevant B.Eng/ BSc (Eng) Degree
- ECSA registered as a Professional Engineer (active)
- Minimum 10 years' relevant experience working in renewable wind energy projects, including feasibility, design reviews, execution and commissioning, including:
- Wind resource assessment and turbine micrositing
- Wind farm layout and wake loss optimisation
- Turbine technology selection and tower design review
- Grid code compliance testing and power curve verification
- SCADA integration
