About the position
Hire Resolve’s client, a well-known and respected Wealth Management company, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Wealth Assistant to join their Port Elizabeth team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrative professional in the financial services industry who is passionate about client service, financial planning support, and working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting Wealth Planners and Managers in delivering exceptional service to high-net-worth clients.
Responsibilities
1. Client Servicing
- Gather investment/fund values, performance statistics, and Astute information for clients.
- Compile and prepare retirement planning, investment proposals, and client review documentation.
- Assist with drafting/reviewing clients’ wills in consultation with the Wealth Planner/Manager.
- Process client payments via the corporate saver account.
- Monitor incoming payments into the corporate saver account and transfer them to investment companies.
- Handle client complaints and enquiries in consultation with the Wealth Planner/Manager.
- Assist clients in obtaining tax certificates and similar documentation as needed.
- Ensure all client interactions comply with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
2. New Business Processing- Implement client instructions related to investments and insurance in consultation with the Wealth Manager and submit documentation to service providers.
- Obtain outstanding documentation, schedule medicals, and finalise proposals.
- Confirm implementation of client instructions with service providers.
- Communicate implementation confirmations to clients in writing.
- Follow up on outstanding client matters and consult with the Wealth Planner.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of Fee Forms and internal documentation as per company policy.
- Prepare comprehensive handover files for the Wealth Manager, ensuring all compliance tasks are complete.
3. General Administration- Ensure client documentation complies with FICA and FAIS legislation.
- Schedule meetings and manage the Wealth Planner’s diary.
- Record and update client interactions and records as per company policy.
- Maintain electronic and physical client files in line with company standards.
- Bind company documents and handle postage/courier duties.
- Provide relief support to the Administrative Assistant, Reception, and Corporate Cash Manager.
- Perform ad hoc administrative duties as required.
Requirements
Formal Education- Matric (Grade 12)
- Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
Experience- Prior administrative experience in the financial services industry is essential
Critical CompetenciesKnowledge- Excellent command of English (reading and writing)
- Proficient in Afrikaans (reading, writing, speaking)
- Professional telephone etiquette
- Familiarity with financial products, service providers, and their online platforms
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
