About the position
A well-known and established water treatment chemical company requires the above to manage and service senior key accounts within the boiler, cooling water, and effluent markets within the industrial, mining, food and related markets, providing them with solutions and water treatment chemicals and equipment.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- A tertiary qualification in chemical engineering or chemistry or a related qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience having serviced customers, providing them with water treatment chemicals into the boiler, cooling towers, potable and effluent, etc markets are essential for the role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage senior customer relationships and operate in a consultative technical services environment.
- Strong technical problem-solving and process optimisation skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Servicing senior Key Accounts within the boiler, cooling water and effluent, potable markets, providing them with solutions and water treatment chemicals and equipment within the food and beverage, industrial, steel, mining etc markets to monitor the performance of water treatment programmes and equipment.
- Preparing optimisation plans to improve processes on site as well as conducting performance testing and reporting.
- Participate in ongoing technical training and processes on customer sites.
- Managing and servicing accounts working on different projects within the different manufacturing industries.
- Managing and assisting clients with different product solutions and services while simultaneously seeking out various applications and water solutions.
- Overseeing technical service and chemical trials at customer sites to maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Working closely with customer portfolios, providing them with chemical programmes, plant upgrades, equipment and value-added services.
- Troubleshoot operational issues relating to boilers, cooling water systems, reverse osmosis plants, demineralisation plants and effluent treatment systems.
- Inspect chemical dosing equipment and associated plant to ensure optimum performance and reliability.
- Calibrate, maintain and service chemical dosing pumps, controllers and monitoring equipment.
- Managing and monitoring project timelines, budgets and customer requirements to ensure work is completed according to customer specifications.
