About the position
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plumbing Technician to join their Cape Town Branch. This is a permanent position following a 6-month probation period.
Required Qualifications:
- Civil Engineering certificate (plumbing) N2
- Grade 12 certificate
- Minimum 3 years' experience in general plumbing and water meter installations
- Valid Code 08 driver's license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience with conventional and prepaid water meters
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
- Additional plumbing certifications
- Experience with prepaid vending systems
- Experience with automatic meter reading systems and hardware
Key Responsibilities & Required Skills:
- Installation and maintenance of water meters
- Water flow and consumption testing
- Detailed record-keeping and meter reading accuracy
- Problem analysis and resolution
- Independent work planning and execution
- Effective communication with staff, clients, and management
- Report analysis and interpretation
- Multi-tasking across various day-to-day operations
