About the position

Pinetown - We have a newly opened position for an experienced warranty clerk to join a large and respected automotive aftersales team, dedicated to efficiency and exceptional customer service. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with solid warranty claims experience.
Our client is a reputable and well-established organisation in the automotive sector, recognised for its reliable service and strong aftersales support.

The successful candidate will oversee all warranty-related functions, ensuring accurate claim submissions and strict adherence to manufacturer guidelines. This position requires strong coordination across all departments, exceptional administrative precision, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process and submit warranty claims within required timeframes
  • Monitor, track, and follow up on claim approvals and rejections
  • Maintain and update all warranty documentation and records
  • Liaise with service, parts, and sales departments on claim matters
  • Ensure full compliance with manufacturer and internal warranty policies
  • Prepare and submit warranty activity reports
  • Coordinate warranty audits and manage responses to audit queries
  • Process claim adjustments and corrections
  • Verify parts and labour charges in line with claim requirements
  • Identify warranty trends and recurring issues for improvement
  • Assist departments with warranty-related queries
  • Provide general administrative support across the dealership as needed

Requirements:
  • Matric certificate
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Warranty Clerk or in a similar role
  • Proven experience processing warranty claims in the automotive industry
  • Strong administrative and computer proficiency
  • Experience with dealership systems - Kerridge advantageous
  • Ability to support and collaborate with multiple departments

Remuneration:
R12 000 – R15 000 per month, depending on experience
