Warehouse Supervisor

About the position

Responsible for managing the distribution operations plus supervise the receipt and storage of merchandise in the warehouses.

• Oversee the picking, storage, receiving, dispatching, security, maintenance, sanitation and administrative functions plus manage staff.
• Must be able to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment plus ensure we maximizes profits.

• Planning and organising of routes and loads plus coordinating drivers, vehicles, loads and journeys.
• Keep administrative work up to date at all times (RTS, Credits returns etc) and manage stock takes and warehouse preparations.
• Liaising with and managing staff and shifts
• Waste management and stock control
• Ensuring health and safety standards are met
• Develop and maintain an efficient workflow and keep records of employee's productivity
• Monthly reports on staff and vehicle's
• HR and Risk procedures experience

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Must have matric
• Must have at least 3 - 5 years' experience as a Warehouse Supervisor
• Must be a team player and able to manage a staff of 6-10 subordinates.
• Must stay in Gqeberha region (needs to know area and surrounding areas)
• Must have Interpersonal skills
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Logistics experience
• Strong Numerical & Technical skills
• Must be able to work on Saturdays and after hours
