Warehouse Supervisor

About the position

A well-established company in Johannesburg is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team!
Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years’ experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Controller or Warehouse Manager
• Matric or equivalent qualification
• Experience in the construction, paint and cement industry is advantageous
• Experience managing employees

Duties:
Supervising Staff:

• Directing and managing warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, training and evaluating performance.

Inventory Management:

• Maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts and resolving discrepancies 

Receiving, Storing and Shipping:

• Overseeing the processes for receiving incoming goods, storing them properly and preparing shipments for delivery

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment

Process Improvement:

• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity

Communication and Collaboration:

• Coordinating with other departments, such as logistics, procurement and customer service, to ensure smooth operations.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Ensuring that warehouse equipment is properly maintained and serviced

Reporting and Record Keeping:

• Maintaining accurate records of inventory, shipments and other relevant data

Order Fulfillment:

• Ensuring that orders are picked, packed and shipped accurately and on time
