Job Purpose

To ensure accurate receiving, storing, issuing, and control of stock and materials in the warehouse or storeroom. The Storeman maintains stock accuracy, supports operational demands, and ensures efficient flow of goods

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving Function

• Receive inventory against relevant purchase orders (Raise GRN)
• Check and count items against documentation
• Verify documentation of shelf-life products and capture expiry dates
• Liaise with Buyers and Suppliers regarding delivery queries

Stores Function

• Kitting of production/sub-contractor jobs and PCB (electronic components) for PCB assemblers
• Inspect kits picked for internal and external customers
• Prepare kits for dispatch to sub-contractors/PCB assemblers
• Liaise daily with internal and external stakeholders (PGM's, subcontractors)

PCB Stores Function

• Receive PCB items against relevant purchase orders (Raise GRN)
• Check and count items against documentation
• Liaise with Buyers and Suppliers on delivery queries
• Update PCB requirement spreadsheets and visual management boards
• Perform Job Receipt function (Syspro)
• Issue PCB items against relevant jobs

Inventory Control

• Perform daily cycle counts
• Investigate stock discrepancies
• Binning of inventory
• Handle and issue electronic components as per IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033A
• Apply FIFO principles
• Maintain excellent housekeeping practices
• Monitor expiry dates of shelf-life products
• Comply with ESD safety requirements

Job Requirements:

• Matric with 5 years' experience in stores control procedures (kitting/binning) using a computerised inventory control barcode scanning system.
• Syspro experience essential.
• Experience working in an MRP environment.
• Experience handling electronic components.
• Valid South African Driver's Licence.
• Inventory Management or equivalent stores-related certificate/diploma (advantageous).
