Picker and Checker - Distribution Center

Position Title: Picker and Checker

Department: Warehouse / Distribution Center

We are looking for dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our fast-paced distribution center as Pickers and Checkers. If you have experience in warehousing and a strong work ethic, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to grow with a reputable company in the supply chain sector.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Picker but not limited to:

• Accurately pick stock according to picking slips or system instructions
• Pack items securely to prevent damage during transport
• Ensure correct quantities and product codes are picked
• Meet daily picking targets and maintain high levels of accuracy

As a Checker but not limited to:

• Verify picked orders for accuracy and completeness
• Check items against invoices or delivery notes
• Inspect products for damage or expiry
• Report any discrepancies to supervisors
• Assist with stock control and inventory checks

Minimum Requirements:

• South African citizenship or valid work permit
• Minimum Grade 10 or Matric certificate
• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse, picking, or checking role
• Ability to read and interpret order slips and product codes
• Basic computer literacy or familiarity with hand-held scanners (advantageous)
• Physically fit - able to lift, move, and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends if required
