About the position
A well-established pharmaceutical company is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their Pretoria Branch.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Warehouse Management or Logistics Management role.
- Qualification in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field will be advantageous.
- Experience with Pastel is non-negotiable.
- Above-average proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent planning, organisational, problem-solving and prioritisation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Good physical health and ability to operate within a warehouse environment.
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Stock Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure effective stock management.
- Conduct regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor stock movements and ensure accurate stock reporting.
- Implement and maintain stock control procedures.
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and distribution activities.
- Ensure efficient warehouse workflows and operational processes.
- Monitor warehouse performance and ensure service delivery standards are met.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and operational requirements.
Staff Management & Supervision
- Lead, motivate and supervise warehouse staff.
- Manage attendance, leave, discipline and performance-related matters.
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development initiatives.
- Foster a productive, safe and positive working environment.
Compliance & Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with SAHPRA regulations and internal quality standards.
- Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping and operational compliance.
- Ensure accurate documentation, reporting and record keeping.
- Support audit requirements and corrective action processes.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
- Work closely with the Responsible Pharmacist, General Manager, and National Operations Manager.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Assist with the development and continuous improvement of SOPs and operational processes.
- Contribute to business improvement initiatives and operational excellence projects.
Communication & Reporting
- Maintain effective communication with internal departments and stakeholders.
- Resolve operational issues promptly and escalate where necessary.
- Prepare and submit operational reports as required.
