About the position
Job Purpose
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse activities-from receiving and inventory control to dispatch and team supervision. The role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is safety-minded, and brings strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations: receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch
- Maintain accurate stock levels through cycle counts and regular stock takes
- Lead, motivate, and manage warehouse staff effectively
- Enforce and uphold health and safety regulations (SHEQ standards)
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics and resolve delivery issues
- Streamline warehouse layout and implement efficient processes
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to ensure alignment of stock levels with demand
Minimum Requirements
- 3-5 years' experience in warehouse or distribution management
- Experience in the PPE, industrial supply, or clothing/workwear industry is a strong advantage
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong knowledge of warehouse best practices and SHEQ compliance
- Computer literate with working knowledge of inventory and warehouse systems
- Matric (Grade 12) required; relevant tertiary qualifications are a bonus
- Forklift license is advantageous
