About the position
Hands-on Warehouse Controller needed to take ownership of a well-run operation in a respected industry. Is this you? You're practical, reliable and enjoy being actively involved in operations. What you'll be doing You'll take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring stock is received, stored and dispatched efficiently. This includes maintaining accurate stock control, monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with the sales team regarding stock requirements and re-ordering. You'll process incoming deliveries, prepare orders leaving the warehouse and ensure everything is recorded accurately. You'll also oversee the company driver, coordinate deliveries and collections, and ensure orders are prepared on time. Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment will be key, along with conducting quality control checks and pre-delivery inspections. The office and warehouse are based in Paarden Eiland, working Monday to Friday, 08:00 -16:30, in a fully on-site role. What you'll need Matric is essential along with 4-5 years' experience in a warehouse controller orsimilar role. A valid driver's licence and good computer proficiency are required. A forklift licence would be advantageous, but the company will cover the cost if you are willing to obtain one. Experience in technical, mechanical,marine, engineering or parts environments would be beneficial. You'll need strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently while maintaining high operational standards.
