About the position

Warehouse operations and administration, including document flow, optimizing warehouse space, safety procedures, overseeing tasks from storage and distribution, and concluding stock counts.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Team coordination, including assigning tasks to pickers and packers to optimize workflow
  • Supervise the loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Ensure proper storage and maintenance of warehouse equipment
  • Stock control, including stock counts and maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Confirm delivery accuracy against purchase orders
  • Coordinate identification labelling and bin location-allocation
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize overall efficiency
  • Adherence to Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) protocols
  • Manage staff attendance records
  • Compliance with SOPs, rules and regulations

Qualifications and Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a completed Matric (Grade 12) Certificate
  • Minimum of 2-3 years as a foreman, specifically within transport and distribution operations
  • Must have a Forklift license
  • Relevant qualification in warehouse and stock control will be an advantage
