Warehouse Controller - Distribution, Inbound and Outbound

About the position

Our client is looking for a Warehouse Controller to join their team in Parklands, Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the full spectrum of warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound processes, stock control, space utilization, ERP/WMS coordination, and supporting cold chain and third-party logistics. The role supports the supply chain by ensuring product throughput, order accuracy, and efficient storage management in a distribution centre environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage warehouse space utilization and capacity planning.
  
  
• Oversee inbound and outbound processes, including failed order resolution and stock receipt.
  
  
• Monitor and maintain WMS and ERP data alignment.
  
  
• Conduct ABC analysis, manage replenishments and stock allocations.
  
  
• Supervise stock reworks and project coordination with QA approval.
  
  
• Administer stock reconciliation, damage/expired stock procedures, and cycle counts.
  
  
• Maintain cold chain processes including GRVs, stock transfers, and reporting.
  
  
• Liaise with third-party logistics providers and coordinate deliveries.
  
  
• Resolve customer queries regarding over/short supplies.
  
  
• Ensure consistent housekeeping and bin accuracy.
  
  
• Support internal teams with accurate reporting and updates on challenges and gaps.
  
  

Requirements:

• National Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  
  
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a distribution centre environment.
  
  
• Strong coordination, problem-solving, and people skills.
  
  
• Proficient in MS Office; SAP experience advantageous.
  
  
• Experience managing ERP and WMS systems.
