About the position
Job Purpose
The Warehouse & Fulfilment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch products. This role ensures that all orders—retail, online, and wholesale—are fulfilled accurately, on time, and in line with brand quality standards.
Key Responsibilities 1. Warehouse Operations
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including inbound receiving, stock put-away, replenishment, and outbound order fulfilment.
- Ensure optimal warehouse layout, cleanliness, and organisation in line with health & safety standards.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure accurate storage products, including fragile and high-value items.
- Support cycle counts, stock audits, and variance investigations.
2. Order Fulfilment (E-commerce, Retail, Wholesale)
- Oversee order picking, packing, and dispatch processes to ensure high accuracy and timely fulfilment.
- Ensure all packaging meets brand presentation standards.
- Coordinate daily dispatch with courier partners and logistics providers.
- Track and resolve delivery issues or delays.
3. Team Leadership
- Supervise warehouse and fulfilment staff, providing daily direction, task allocation, and performance monitoring.
- Train staff in packing standards, warehouse systems, safety procedures, and quality control.
- Foster a positive and efficient team environment aligned with company values.
4. Systems & Reporting
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP tools for order processing and stock control.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports (order fulfilment rates, stock discrepancies, dispatch metrics, etc.).
- Ensure accurate data capture and adherence to inventory processes.
5. Quality & Compliance
- Maintain compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise warehouse and fulfilment operations.
- Ensure all goods are handled with care to minimise breakages and returns.
Key Requirements Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12 (required).
- Relevant diploma or certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management (advantageous).
Experience
- 3–5 years' experience in warehouse / fulfilment operations, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or FMCG.
- Supervisory or team-lead experience required.
- Experience working with premium or fragile products advantageous.
