Unit Manager - ICU at MSP

About the position

Our client is seeking an experienced Unit Manager to lead a high-performing Intensive Care Unit in Centurion. This opportunity is ideal for an ICU-trained nursing professional with proven leadership experience who is passionate about delivering exceptional critical care while driving operational excellence within a busy private healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the Intensive Care Unit
• Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality critical care nursing services
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the ICU nursing team
• Coordinate staffing, patient flow, and resource allocation within the unit
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, infection prevention, and quality standards
• Manage stock, equipment, and unit resources efficiently
• Collaborate with doctors and the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes

Minimum Requirements:

• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
• Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Post Basic Qualification in Critical Care Nursing (essential)
• Management qualification will be preferred
• Proven ICU experience
• Previous Shift Leading experience within an ICU environment
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
