UI UX Designer

About the position

My client based in Tygerfalls, Cape Town is currently looking for a UI/UX Designer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, usability testing and concept testing.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes and task flows based on user needs.
• Create personas using user research and data.
• Design intuitive and user-friendly digital platforms and software.
• Define and evaluate appropriate interaction models.
• Identify and creatively solve UX and usability challenges.
• Collaborate with designers and developers to implement user-friendly solutions.
• Work with UI designers to create attractive and engaging designs.
• Communicate design concepts and prototypes effectively to developers.
• Gather and incorporate user feedback.
• Monitor competitor products and industry trends.
• Ensure designs align with established UX/UI governance and standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• University Degree, preferably B.Com Informatics, B. Engineering or B.Sc.
• 5-7 years' experience in a UX/UI Design or similar role.
• Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or in a similar position.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating successful UX and technical projects.
• Experience in user research and project management.
• Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture.
• Proficiency in design tools such as UXPin and Balsamiq.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript would be advantageous.
