Tube Mill Operator

About the position

Purpose:

Our client in the stainless-steel tubing manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled Tube Mill Operator to produce high-quality stainless-steel tubing through the operation of a Tube Mill. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and be committed to maintaining product quality, equipment efficiency, and workplace safety.

Minimum requirements:

• A technical qualification and/or be a qualified Fitter, Fitter and Turner, Welder, or Mechanical.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment and operating similar equipment in the Tube Making Industry.
• Must have a Matric certificate.
• Experience in the automotive industry will be an added advantage.
• Must be computer [URL Removed] Duties and Responsibilities:
• Control product quality by monitoring, measuring, and recording measured data on a software program.
• Make rebuilds and tooling changes for various diameters.
• Ensure optimal setup of NDT Testing equipment.
• Conduct both planned and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks.
• Perform duties in a safe manner by complying with and adhering to health and safety regulations, and by following SOPs and SWIs.
• Ensure that equipment and machinery are maintained and repaired in accordance with maintenance procedures.
• Manufacture parts that conform to customer requirements by following procedures related to operations and quality.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

• Knowledge of stainless steel and the welding of stainless steel will be an advantage.
• Must be strong in Mathematics.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must be able to do accurate measurements with any measuring equipment.
