Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Refrigeration Technician to join their technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining truck refrigeration units while ensuring maximum equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and service truck refrigeration units.
- Perform fault finding on refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Carry out refrigerant re-gassing and system pressure testing.
- Replace defective refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical components.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults and control systems.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
- Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven experience as a Truck Refrigeration Technician.
- Must have hands-on experience working on the following truck refrigeration units:
- Carrier Supra 450
- Carrier Supra 550
- Carrier Supra 850
- Thermo King
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with refrigerant re-gassing and refrigeration repairs.
- Experience replacing refrigeration and electrical components.
- Strong electrical diagnostic and troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
