About the position
Our client is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to join the Port Elizabeth team.
· Daily route planning,
· Oversee the deployment, and maintenance of the company’s fleet.
· Ensure all vehicles are operational and roadworthy.
· Optimize fleet utilization to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
· Ensure all vehicles comply with road traffic laws and regulations.
· Maintain valid licensing, insurance, and permits for all vehicles.
· Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures.
· Conduct regular audits and inspections of the fleet
· Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
· Manage relationships with service providers and workshops.
Requirements· Grade 12
· Tertiary qualification preferred,
· Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience in fleet management, logistics, or transport operations.
· Experience with short distance road freight
· Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, fuel management, and compliance requirements.
· Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Valid drivers license ,
