Transformation Manager - Life Insurance Industry (Gauteng)
A prominent life insurance company is looking for a highly motivated, proactive, and resilient individual with strong knowledge of transformation legislation to join their team as a Transformation Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the Group's Transformation strategy under the direction of the Executive: People and Culture. Your expertise will drive Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE), Employment Equity (EE), and Skills Development initiatives that ensure the Group's compliance and success in transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE):
- Develop and manage the Group's BBBEE Strategy.
- Compile and submit BBBEE reports and scorecards for executive review.
- Monitor, evaluate, and manage the Group's BBBEE initiatives, ensuring alignment with policy and best practices.
- Oversee risk management related to BBBEE targets
Employment Equity (EE) & Skills Development:
- Chair the EE & Skills Development Committee and oversee EE processes.
- Develop EE strategies, submit compliance reports, and ensure alignment with legislation.
- Lead transformation efforts in partnership with HR and senior management.
- Develop and implement change management strategies that support organisational transformation.
Team & Department Management:
- Manage the Transformation Department, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Lead, mentor, and develop staff to drive peak performance.
- Oversee budget management and operational risks within the department.
Requirements:
- A relevant 3-year degree.
- 5-7 years' experience in a management role.
- Extensive knowledge of BBBEE, EE, and Skills Development legislation.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to influence and partner with senior management.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in leading organisational change and managing budgets.
- Experience in the financial services environment is desired.
