About the position
Our client in the paper and packaging industry is seeking an experienced Training Officer to join their team.
This role is critical in developing and delivering technical training to production employees, ensuring they are equipped with the skills, safety knowledge, and operational excellence required to perform efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
Candidates must hold a qualification in chemical or electrical engineering (alternatively a qualification in Pulp and Paper).
Duties and responsibilities:
- Training and skills development
- Conduct training needs analysis
- Design and deliver training programmes for machine operators and production staff
- Facilitate training and lead induction programmes for new employees
- Evaluate competencies and identify skills gaps
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain and update training materials and manuals
