Trainee Equity Trader

About the position

Our client is looking for a Trainee Equity Trader to join their securities company that is a member of the JSE Limited, SAFEX and the South African Futures Exchange. As full members of the JSE Limited they offer trading in all listed Shares and Bonds on the JSE and in all derivatives available on the South African Futures Exchange, including Financial Index Futures, Single Stock Futures, listed CFD’s, and Agricultural Futures.
Looking for a young ambitious person to be trained as an investment advisor/ equity dealer. If you have an outgoing personality, you are keen to learn and a self-starter, with an interest in local economics, this position will tick all your boxes. 
 
 Requirements:

• Preference will be given to a person with a Hons degree in Investment management or similar qualification
• The ability to work under pressure
• Advance skills in Excel spreadsheet construction(must)
• Strong analytical skills
• Solution orientated
• Team player
• Ability to organise and prioritise
• Strong time management
• Ability to meet deadlines essential
• Knowledge of Refinitiv and Iress
• Bilingual in Afrikaans and English
• Valid Driver's License and transport
