About the position
Our client, a proudly South African FMCG business, is looking for a Trade Marketing Manager to lead and manage the sales and merchandising function to ensure consistent execution, governance, and performance. Drive accountability, accuracy in reporting, and operational excellence to achieve sales growth and maintain brand standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee national sales, merchandising execution and in-store activation across all channels, ensuring compliance with planograms, promotional displays, and in-store standards.
- Govern sales processes across Key Account Managers (KAMs), ensuring consistent forecasting, reporting, and strategic alignment.
- Consolidate sales data and forecasts, providing clear insights and recommendations to improve performance.
- Manage and develop the Sales Administrator and mentor KAMs to build capability and a high-performance sales culture.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure alignment on promotions, product availability, and trading terms
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, or related field
- At least 5 years' FMCG sales experience, including 3+ years in management
- Proven success in sales forecasting, reporting, and team leadership
- Proficiency in MS Office; ERP/CRM systems advantageous
