Our client is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Test Technician – Services to join their Technical Services team in Rosslyn. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting vehicle testing in accordance with company and customer standards, maintaining testing quality, following approved testing methods, and ensuring that all testing activities are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct vehicle testing and Pre-Delivery Inspections in accordance with company and customer standards, ensuring that test requests are fully understood and all required tasks are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Conduct fault-finding investigations on problem vehicles, monitor and report on faults, issues, and test results, track progress, and escalate off-specification findings to management.
- Ensure testing processes and procedures comply with customer and company Quality and Safety Standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
- Accurately capture and report testing data and maintain appropriate records.
- Design and develop test jigs where required to improve operational processes.
- Ensure vehicles are correctly fitted and allocated in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.
- Ensure all tools and testing equipment are maintained in good working condition and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Work according to required testing timelines and ensure all activities are completed within strict deadlines.
- Monitor and maintain quality throughout the testing process and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Follow all company procedures relating to quality, environmental management, occupational health and safety, and customer requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Qualified Vehicle Technician; Nissan N-STEP qualification will be advantageous.
- Mechanical Trade Test Certificate – essential.
- Valid Code B (08) driver's licence with no endorsements.
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience within a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Knowledge and practical experience using hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict operational timelines.
- Strong understanding of vehicle testing procedures and fault finding.
- Must have no criminal record.
