About the position

We are seeking a skilled Test Analyst with strong functional testing experience and Point of Sale (POS) system exposure to ensure the quality and reliability of retail and transactional systems in an Agile environment.

RequirementsKey Responsibilities

  • Translate business and functional requirements into detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Design, execute, and maintain test cases across functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Perform testing on Point of Sale (POS) systems, ensuring accurate transaction processing, payment flows, and retail functionality.
  • Coordinate test activities, including test data preparation and environment management.
  • Log, track, and manage defects using appropriate defect tracking tools.
  • Re-test defects and verify fixes to ensure quality resolution.
  • Conduct API testing and support test automation efforts where applicable.
  • Provide clear test progress updates, risk assessments, and quality reports to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, standards, and documentation.
  • Support test closure activities including documentation, handovers, and retrospectives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree or Diploma in IT or related field (essential)
  • ISTQB/ISEB Certification (essential)
  • ISTQB Advanced Level Certification (advantageous)
  • 4+ years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automated) in an Agile environment
  • Strong experience in functional, system, regression, and integration testing
  • Hands-on experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems (essential)
  • Strong SQL skills for data validation and test verification
  • Experience with API testing
  • Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP, Robot Framework) (advantageous)
  • Strong understanding of defect tracking tools and QA best practices
