Test Analyst

About the position

My client based in Bellville (Northern Suburbs) is currently looking for a Test Analyst to join them on a fixed term contract

IT / Finance

Responsibilities

• Create detailed test plans and test cases based on functional and technical requirements
• Execute manual and automated testing of APIs using Postman Collections and Newman
• Verify compliance with industry regulations and business requirements
• Conduct integration testing to ensure APIs are properly integrated with backend systems
• Validate data handling and interaction between system components
• Perform performance testing to ensure the system meets required performance standards
• Use appropriate tools and methodologies to conduct performance tests
• Utilize strong SQL querying skills to verify test data and results
• Ensure accurate data flow and integrity within the system
• Experience working with a test management tool to track and report defects
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes
• Generate clear, concise reports on test outcomes and highlight any risks or issues
• Apply knowledge of the financial services industry to ensure compliance and relevance of testing processes

Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent technical qualification
• CSM
• Minimum of 5 years as a Test Analyst
• Strong API testing experience using Postman Collections, Newman, Azure Repos and Pipelines, and Git
• Strong SQL querying experience
• Performance testing experience required
• Experience working with a test management tool
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI / CD) processes
• Basic understanding of API testing and working with RESTful services
