About the position
The Senior Test Analyst is responsible for performing testing activities on medium to high complexity systems to ensure the successful implementation of business solutions. The role focuses on designing, developing, and executing tests to identify defects, validate requirements, and ensure applications meet quality standards before release.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
Test Planning & Test Case Development
- Translate functional and business requirements into test plans and test cases.
- Identify and document complex test scenarios and expected outcomes.
- Review and obtain sign-off on test cases from the Test Lead or Manager.
Test Preparation
- Prepare test environments, test data, and required testing materials.
- Ensure system access and environments are ready for testing.
Test Execution
- Execute test cases and record results.
- Compare actual results against expected outcomes.
- Log, track, and manage defects.
- Perform regression and end-to-end system testing.
- Retest resolved defects.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure applications meet business and functional expectations.
- Maintain accurate testing documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes.
Reporting & Communication
- Provide regular test status updates.
- Communicate defects, risks, and quality concerns to stakeholders.
- Contribute to test tracking reports and project timelines.
Test Closure
- Ensure testing is completed with no outstanding high-risk issues.
- Document lessons learned and archive test artifacts.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or a related field.
- Formal software testing certification (e.g., ISTQB CTFL).
- 4+ years’ experience as a Test Analyst / Senior Test Analyst.
- Strong experience in manual testing and SQL.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Knowledge of functional, system, integration, and regression testing.
- Experience testing complex user interfaces.
Advantageous
- API testing experience.
- Exposure to automated testing tools (Selenium, TestComplete, Robot Framework, etc.).
- Experience with performance testing and UAT.
