Test Analyst at Reverside

About the position

We are currently seeking a Junior QA Tester to join our growing team and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

The Junior QA Tester will be responsible for executing structured software testing activities to ensure system functionality, stability, and quality. The role focuses on creating and executing test cases, identifying and logging defects, supporting defect resolution, and maintaining compliance with testing and audit standards.



Key Responsibilities

• Software Testing & Quality Assurance.
• Create and prepare test data for functional and regression testing.
• Execute test cases and test suites according to planned sequences.
• Compare actual vs. expected results and identify discrepancies.
• Log and manage defects using HP ALM Quality Centre.
• Perform confirmation testing and regression testing.
• Analyse root causes of failures and support defect resolution.
• Obtain sign-off on test specifications in line with audit requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and version control of test artefacts.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with Developers and Project Managers throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Provide detailed incident logging to support efficient resolution.
• Participate in discussions regarding bug fixes and improvements.
• Follow up on code fixes requiring re-testing.
• Maintain strong communication within the project team.

Operational Excellence

• Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the QA function.

Minimum Requirements Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• IT Degree or National Diploma
• Knowledge of SQL
• ISTQB Certification (advantageous)

Experience

• 1–2 years’ experience in an IT Testing environment
• Exposure to Test Automation (advantageous)
• Experience working with defect management tools (HP ALM advantageous)
