About the position

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Tender Administration

  • Requesting quotations as well as revised quotations and ensuring that they are received on time

  • Issuing and compiling bulk orders
  • Assisting Estimator with kick-off meetings as well as monthly cost meetings
  • Comparison of material prices received at tender stage, for use in tender
  • Obtaining Tax Clearance from SARS
  • Requesting way leaves
  • Doing price comparison of quotations
  • Completion and submission of tender documents before deadlines
  • Requesting guarantees as well as confirming insurance
  • Applications and renewal of CIDB ratings

  • Correspondence

  • Letters to engineers and suppliers at the request of Estimator Site Agent

  • Liaison and communication with suppliers, clients and engineers

  • General Administration

  • Filing

  • Opening tender files
  • Memos
  • Collection of documents if necessary
  • Personal Assistant for Estimator

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications:
Matric/Grade 12 a minimum
Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering would be beneficial
Valid driver's license
Experiences:
3 -5 years' administrative experience

  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills & human relations
    .- Must be able to function independently - & under pressure
    .- Great computer skills
