About the position

Tender Administrator

Location: Parktown, Gauteng
Contract Type: Permanent

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Tender Administrator to support a busy tender department within a fast-paced shared services environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a tender or bid administration environment
  • Strong MS Office skills (Advanced level)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Strong administration, time management, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
 

Advantageous

  • Tertiary qualification in Administration or related field
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills
  • Experience working with supplier databases (e.g. government portals)
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support tender coordinators with preparation and submission of tender documents
  • Compile and manage tender files and supporting documentation
  • Update and maintain internal tender registers and databases
  • Track tender opportunities and submission deadlines
  • Ensure timely delivery of tender submissions
  • Assist with general departmental administration and procurement support
  • Manage stationery and consumables for the department
