Temp Maintenance Assistant

About the position

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team in maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment. This role is well-suited to a hands-on, technically minded individual who enjoys problem-solving and can contribute to the efficient running of our recycling plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
  
  
• Carry out welding tasks as required.
  
  
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues on machines.
  
  
• Operate safely with both power tools and hand tools.
  
  
• Assist with general maintenance tasks across the plant.
  
  
• Support the team in ensuring minimal downtime of equipment.
  
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience in machine maintenance (recycling/industrial environment advantageous).
  
  
• Welding skills (essential).
  
  
• Strong problem-solving ability and technical aptitude.
  
  
• Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools.
  
  
• Electrical skills will be an advantage.
  
  
• A proactive, adaptable, and safety-conscious approach.
