About the position
The purpose of this role is to provide efficient and accurate financial and administrative support, with a focus on accounts payable and receivable functions. The Finance Administrator will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, maintaining the asset register, reconciling accounts, and ensuring financial controls are adhered to. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records in D365, supporting audit processes, and ensuring compliance with financial procedures. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in finance administration and a proactive approach to problem-solving and day-to-day financial operations
Key responsibilities:
- Administer Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Issuing of travel and other purchase orders
- Ensure that the asset register is kept up to date at all times by capitalizing assets
- Processing supplier invoices on D365
- Reconcile all suppliers' invoices to monthly (supplier) statements prior to preparation of a payment approval form for those suppliers (creditors);
- Follow up with suppliers and BU's invoices outstanding for over 30 days;
- Maintain and update allocated suppliers accounts by reviewing suppliers' age analysis
- Maintain updated vendor information on D365 by doing roll downs from the CSD portal for service providers responsible for.
- Administer day-to-day finances and assist with queries
- Administer payment of bills, invoices and staff and volunteer expense claims
- Ensure financial controls are adhered to
- Assist in preparation of year-end processes and audit
- Undertake any other duties as requested by the Manager: Finance and Admin
Minimum requirements:
- Minimum NQF Level 6 or higher in Finance or relevant
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Finance Administration
