Telesales Clerk

About the position

Purpose of the role:
A Business Solutions company based in Durban is looking for a proactive and confident Appointment Setter to support their sales team by generating and qualifying new business opportunities. The primary role will be to contact potential business clients, introduce their services, and schedule meetings for their Sales Representatives.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking to people, is confident on the phone, and is motivated by achieving targets.

Responsibilities:

• Prospect and identify potential business clients
• Conduct outbound calls to introduce the services
• Qualify potential customers and identify decision makers
• Schedule appointments for the sales team
• Load sales reps canvas on CRM
• Maintain and update prospect lists and CRM records
• Follow up with leads generated through marketing campaigns
• Achieve weekly and monthly appointment targets
• Assist Admin Staff during month end to collect customer meter reading and respond to Government Quote Request

Requirements:

• Experience in telesales, lead generation, or appointment setting
• Experience calling businesses (B2B environment)
• Strong communication skills
• Confident speaking on the phone
• Good organisational skills
• Self-motivated and target driven
• Basic computer skills (CRM, Excel, email)
