About the position
Our client within the mining and electronics space is seeking a skilled Telemetry Technician. Qualifications include: a S1 to S4 & N4 to N6 Qualifications in Electronics (not electrical). One should also have the ability and experience in reading & interpreting circuit & wiring diagrams.
Candidates with proven knowledge in PCB fault-finding, competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators and other diagnostic tools will be considers. As well as being proficient in soldering Surface-Mount Devices (SMD) components.
Other Requirements Include:
- Responsible for conducting repairs, testing PCB's and systems.
- Providing technical support and managing tasks both in the workshop & on production line.
- The ability to provide on-site filed service, commissioning & troubleshooting of systems.
- Support clients with technical inquiries and offer solutions.
- Train junior technical staff and field personnel.
- Assist with new projects & manage project workflows.
