About the position
We are seeking an experienced Technical Support Manager to provide expert technical assistance across sales, operations, and installation teams.
This hybrid role involves supporting clients, overseeing site commissioning, troubleshooting complex solar PV systems, and sharing knowledge to enhance team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee commissioning of solar PV systems, both on-site and remotely
• Lead fault finding and troubleshooting across multiple inverter and battery brands
• Provide technical support to sales, operations, and installation teams
• Assist in solar installation design, layouts, and documentation for residential, commercial, and agricultural projects
• Conduct site assessments and inspections, ensuring designs are correctly implemented
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, electrical codes, and industry best practices
• Prepare technical reports, as-built drawings, and system performance assessments
• Train and mentor installation teams, sharing expertise across the business
• Continuously explore new technologies and innovative solutions to improve solar system performance
Qualifications & Experience:
• Red Seal Certification (Wireman advantageous)
• BEng / BEngTech / BEng Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in solar PV system design, installation, and commissioning
• Proven experience with residential and commercial solar systems
• Hands-on experience with multiple inverter and battery brands
• Proficiency in remote monitoring and commissioning software
• Strong knowledge of solar PV components, electrical design principles, and fault troubleshooting
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
