Technical Services Manager

About the position

Our client, a leading company within the polymer/composites manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to lead their Technical Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong leader with a passion for innovation, product development, and customer excellence.

Minimum Requirements:

• BSc in Chemistry or an equivalent relevant qualification
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in the polymer/composites industry
• Strong technical leadership and project management experience
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Customer-focused with a passion for continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Technical Services team
• Drive research and development of new and existing products
• Optimise formulations to improve product quality and reduce costs
• Manage technical projects from concept through implementation
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to customers
• Investigate product-related complaints and implement corrective actions
• Deliver technical training to customers, sales teams and internal staff
• Develop and mentor technical staff
• Liaise with suppliers and industry partners to drive innovation and stay ahead of new technologies
• Promote continuous improvement and Green Technology initiatives
