Technical Sales Support Technicain
External Sales Representative
Description: This role is intended for someone who is interested in computer hardware more specifically networking hardware, not software development. The job will entail understanding and learning all aspects of fiber optic communication for all industries. This will be to ensure you can guide or assist customers and sales staff to purchase the correct products and how they should be intended to be used.
Ultimately you will become responsible for all technical questions from customers. An interest in discovering how our products work and how best they can be utilized in a networking or fiber setting is what we are after.
Initially you will be put in a sales role working with clients directly, this will help you understand relationships and products quickly. But an interest in those products will be key to becoming proficient on what we sell.
Duties & Requirements
- Assist sales teams and clients with technical questions.
- Initially the role will be to primarily handle sales until becoming proficient with all products and how they function.
- Technically minded, interested in technology and "how things work"
- Hands on what he is doing on the technical side
- Willing to handle repairs / maintenance of products that need service work.
- Well spoken, able to grasp things and take initiative
- Hybrid role - client facing
- Work in a team well and is willing to assist others who need technical assistance
- Recent graduate, wanting to learn & start a career (under mentorship in technical technology engineering sector)
- Electrical/Mechanical engineering; IT - Interested in hardware side, not software development
- Computer networking interests and experience is preferred.
