About the position
Well-established company based in Germiston an experienced Technical Field Sales Representative
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' external technical sales experience
- Proven track record in new business development and achieving sales targets
- Experience selling into the industrial, engineering, mining or heavy machinery sectors
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand product specifications and recommend solutions
- Excellent cold calling, negotiation and account management skills
- Well-presented with strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new business through active prospecting and cold calling
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Conduct client visits and identify technical sales opportunities
- Prepare quotations and commercial proposals
- Negotiate contracts and close sales
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts
- Achieve monthly sales targets and business growth objectives
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline reports
- Travel extensively throughout Gauteng to service clients
