About the position
A company in the industrial filtration sector seeks a Technical Sales Representative to grow sales in the mining and heavy industry markets, focusing on dust extraction and filtration in Johannesburg. The role includes business development, client management, and travel across Africa.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, or Mining Engineering, or a Commerce qualification in Business or Sales Management.
- 3–5 years’ experience in technical sales within mining, industrial, or export industries.
- Proven experience in dust extraction and dust filtration systems (essential).
- Wet filtration experience will be advantageous.
- Technical knowledge of filtration systems, mining, or heavy industry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of costing, financial figures, and calculations.
- Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and online meeting platforms.
- Experience with Pastel Manufacturing Accounting will be beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
- Must be willing and able to travel locally and into Africa.
- Fluency in English; French or Portuguese will be advantageous.
