Technical Sales Representative required for a leading supplier of high-quality sensor, identification and image processing solutions based in Johannesburg 

Company & Job Overview:

Leading supplier of technical automation products for a variety of industries. They are looking for an experienced and dynamic External Sales Engineer to join their team and help drive growth in sales and customer base.

The External Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales of technical automation products to customers in a variety of industries. This will involve developing and maintaining relationships with customers, identifying opportunities for new business, and providing technical support and expertise to customers.

 

Qualifications:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering advantages but not required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably with technical automation products
• Strong technical background and knowledge of automation products and solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to travel if required

 

Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in target industries.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide technical expertise and support to customers, including product demonstrations and training.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and sales target are achieved.
• Participate in industry events and trade shows to promote our products and services.
• Monitor and report on sales activity and provide regular updates to management.
