Our client has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Technical Sales Representative to join their dynamic team, this permanent position will be based in Kwa Zulu Natal.
In collaboration with strategic business partners, the TSR will be responsible for supporting the development of new technical knowledge and delivering on the Group's customer service value proposition.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct field trials with key strategic products to understand application rates, timing, and value proposition development of said products to key focus crops.
Establish and maintain monitoring networks of target insects in key fruit production areas in KZN.
Assist with quality management projects at the end-user level.
Providing in-field technical support for all products as needed and assisting the Area Sales Manager in ensuring commercial trials are undertaken and implemented as planned.

Education & Experience

• Scientific Degree or Diploma in the field of Agronomy and Agriculture/Entomology.
• Commerce related Degree/Diploma would be advantageous.
• AVCASA us advantageous (candidates will be required to obtain this qualification in the role, should they not have it)
• 3 years of experience working in similar or related position.

Other Skills required:

• Microscope use; Report writing; Excellent communication skills (oral and written);
• Be neat and organized with excellent timekeeping/ f uture-planning skills;
• Good understanding of insect biology and ecology in agroecosystems;
• Knowledge of pest management products, IPM systems and implementation in citrus;
• Ability to plan, design and conduct field trials; Ability to work in a team and independently;
• Capable of following a protocol/work instruction; Computer and data entry skills (Microsoft package. Excel skills at medium to advanced level)
• Valid driver's licence and physically able to travel and work in orchards.
