Technical Sales Engineer

About the position

Suitably qualified Mechanical Engineering graduate with several years' experience in technical sales in industrial environment required to drive profitable growth in KZN by combining technical expertise with solution-based sales, building customer and channel relationships, and expanding the Company's market share.

Position reports to the Senior Area Sales Manager Coastal and SADC

Responsibilities:

• Revenue growth: deliver sales and margin growth in the region
• Solution selling: provide value-based technical solutions to industrial customers
• Pipeline discipline: maintain accurate forecasting and CRM usage
• Channel development: strengthen distributor and channel partnerships
• Customer focus: build long-term strategic relationships

Requirements:

• Location: Must reside in Central Durban or within 40km radius (relocation from Gauteng possible if prior KZN experience)
• Travel: ~70% within the region
• License: Valid driver's license required
• Education: BSc/BEng/BTech in Mechanical Engineering (or diploma with relevant experience)
• Experience: 5-8 years in technical/solutions sales in industrial environments (e.g. rotating equipment, reliability solutions)
• Traits: Customer focus, commercial judgment, collaboration, learning agility, professional conduct
• Profile fit: Hands-on technical background with sales experience; project engineers with relevant industry exposure may also be considered
