About the position
Technical Sales Engineer, preferably with a formal Mechanical/Engineering qualification and minimum 5 years' sales experience in a technical/mining/mechanical environment, required to explore new business opportunities in the KZN Area, for this international gearbox manufacturing company.
Minimum requirements:
- Matric essential
- Engineering/Technical qualification with minimum 5 years' sales experience preferred
- Minimum 10 years relevant sales experience required if no tertiary qualification
- Business Development experience in gear related industry preferred
- Must be wiling to travel throughout KZN
- Own transport essential
Responsibilities:
- Business development within the KZN area in the Cement, Sugar, Oil & Gas, Power, Coal, Port & Harbour, Steel & Metals, Mining & Minerals industries
- Achieving budgets and meeting KPI's
- Manage and grow existing business
- Ensure the Sales/Bid Pipleine is of value
- Pipeline management
- Keeping CRM accounts detail and information current
- Feedback and reporting to management
- Maximise additional business from current clients
- Plan and execute successful sales visits
- Follow up on enquiries and proposals submitted
- Customer feedback and relationship management
- Provide technical support to customers
